Hello! My name is Julie Steele and I am excited to welcome you to White Marsh Elementary School!
The 2025-2026 school year will be my 32nd year working in the St. Mary’s County Public School System. I am also a product of SMCPS, having attended elementary, middle and high school here, too! I have served as a music educator, classroom teacher, assistant principal, and this year marks my ninth year as principal of White Marsh. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, and earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University.
We are thrilled to welcome you to White Marsh, home of the Strong and Mighty Bears! We are Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn every day. Our staff and students are committed to providing a safe environment for all students, with high expectations for academic achievement. Our students and teachers work hard every day; I am sure they will love their time spent in our wonderful school, and they will absolutely love being a White Marsh Bear!
